Pronoun and Prepositon..

Today,Group 2 present about PRONOUN and PREPOSITIONS...
The group members were Aira,Niena,Leyha,and Hanis...

A pronoun can replace a noun or another pronoun..You use pronouns like 'he','which',and 'you' to make your sentences less repititive..

Type of pronouns:
a) personal pronouns : used to replace nouns as subjects of sentence.
                                  e.g. : Amir Idris and Azmi are from Melaka.(They are from Melaka.)
b) reflexive pronouns : used to intensify and also reflect antecedents.
                                  e.g. : PM Zain himself conducts the seminar.(intensifies antecedent)
                                          PM Zain conducts the seminar himself.(reflects antecendent)
c) relative pronouns : used to join one phrase to other phrase.
                                e.g. : The talk on self-development that was attended by many participants was a   
                                        great success
d) interrogative pronouns : form the questions.
                                         e.g : How do you manage yourself?

A preposition links nouns, pronouns and phrases to other words in a sentence.

Types of preposition:
a) Preposition of places : show where something is.
                                     e.g. : The recycling centre is in Klang.(in)
b) Preposition of time : show the concept of time or duration of time.
                                    e.g. : He will clean the pond on Monday.(on)
c) Preposition of movement : show something moves in relation to other things.
                                           e.g. : They dumped the rubbish into the lake.(into)
